Brief Description of Project
|
Site 8SR17, located along East Bay on Eglin AFB, is the site of a number of significant cultural resource features dating back more than one thousand years. Many of these resources were removed before the shoreline was stabilized in an attempt to prevent further erosion and loss. After artifacts were carefully removed, the shoreline was protected with the installation of approximately 1900 square yards of geotextile fabric and 1,000 tons of riprap. M&P was also responsible for coordination with state and Federal officials to obtain any necessary permits prior to construction activities.
